“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven.”
— Matthew 5:44–45 (NIV)
The Preacher yesterday at our Church mentioned something that many of us know too well —
That there are people who don’t like you…
Not because of anything you’ve done,
But simply because you’re too black, too short, too tall, too opinionated, too silent, too blessed, or just too different.
And while Scripture encourages us never to repay evil with evil,
Let’s be honest —
It’s hard.
It’s hard to love someone who dismisses you.
It’s hard to show concern for people who don’t even notice your presence.
It’s painful when you’re ignored, overlooked, or even mocked.
But hear this today: God’s love for you is constant and consistent. It does not change based on who accepts or rejects you.
It is not defined by the cliques of people who never invite you in. It is not shaken by unkind comments or cold shoulders.
God’s love remains.
Even when theirs fades.
Even when theirs was never there in the first place.
When Jesus said, “Love your enemies,”
He wasn’t telling us to ignore our feelings or pain.
He was showing us a higher way — One rooted not in human approval, but in divine identity.
Because when you love even when it’s not reciprocated, When you pray for those who bruise your heart. You become a mirror of the One who loved us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8)
You’re not everyone’s favorite — and that’s okay.
But you are God’s beloved. Chosen. Seen. Held.
And nothing they do can change that.

Absolutely love of God remains steadfast
No worry of human beings thou it hurts
