Isaiah 66:13 (NIV)
“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”
Have you ever taken time to observe a mother with her child?
From infancy to adulthood, something never changes—a mother’s instinct to protect, provide, and nurture.
When a baby cries in the middle of the night, she’s the first to respond.
When a teenager is quiet and distant, she notices.
Even when her child becomes an adult, living far away, a mother still calls, still prays, still checks in: “Have you eaten? Are you okay?”
It’s one of the most powerful forms of love we know.
And God, in His infinite tenderness, uses this imagery in Isaiah to speak to His people:
“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you.”
What a picture of grace.
Grace isn’t just divine favour—it’s a covering. A safe place. A warm embrace.
It’s God’s unearned, unshakable love that wraps around us when we are strong and when we are weak.
Sometimes we feel too broken to pray.
Too tired to hope.
Too lost to even try.
But God doesn’t withdraw from us in those moments—He draws near.
Like a mother who doesn’t scold her crying baby but picks them up, rocks them, and whispers, “I’m here.”
That’s what grace looks like.
- In your mess, He wraps you.
- In your doubt, He covers you.
- In your fear, He reassures you.
You may feel overwhelmed, overlooked, or under pressure today.
But listen—you are not alone.
You are wrapped up in God’s grace.
Not because you’ve done everything right—but because He loves you beyond measure.

Amen. He will never leave us nor forsake us.
