“For in Him we live and move and have our being.” — Acts 17:28
There are moments in life when we pause and ask ourselves: Why am I here? What is the purpose of it all? The truth is, our answers are not found in chasing success, achievements, or even people’s approval. Our true purpose lies in knowing and aligning ourselves with God’s will over our lives.
He is the Source. Wewe ni Chanzo. Everything begins and flows from Him. When we try to live apart from Him, life feels empty, confusing, and heavy. But when we surrender to God’s plan, we discover a peace that no circumstance can shake.
As the chorus of the song by Rehema reminds us:
“Nakuabudu, oh Yesu (nakuabudu, nakuabudu)
Wewe ni chanzo (wewe ni chanzo)
Cha uhai wangu (cha uhai wangu)
Nakuabudu (nakuabudu)
Baba wa mabwana, eh (nakuabudu)”
That’s the heartbeat of our faith—acknowledging that God is our life source, our breath, and the One worthy of worship.
In Him we live, in Him we breathe, in Him we are sustained.
Think about it this way: if a river disconnects from its source, it dries up. The same is true with us. Without God, life loses its meaning. But when we stay connected to Him, when we draw from His well, we are refreshed, guided, and sustained.
Today, remind yourself—Mungu ndiye Chanzo. Every gift, every breath, every opportunity is an extension of His grace. Your calling, your career, your family, your dreams—they all find direction and purpose only in Him.
So walk confidently. Even when the journey feels uncertain, lean into the One who knows the end from the beginning. Trust that His will for you is good, pleasing, and perfect. And let your heart sing along the chorus:
✨ “Wewe ni chanzo, cha uhai wangu…” ✨
