NO TOPIC FOR TODAY

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23

I recently met a long-time friend and, in the middle of our conversation, I asked him, “Do you read Morning Shots?”
With honesty he replied, “No, I don’t.” Ouch. That stung a little. But what stayed with me wasn’t the no. It was what he said next: “But continue writing.”

Those words stirred something deeper. Because truth is, I don’t write simply because……… ok let me put it this way. This is not a hobby I pull out when I’m in the mood. It’s a conviction that weighs on me daily, one that only God sustains. Human effort and interaction cannot carry it.

And I began to wonder—how many of us have put aside what God has called us to, simply because we are overly concerned with how people may react? How many assignments remain unfinished because we worry more about applause or criticism than about obedience?

When God calls, He does not take a vote. His voice is not subjected to a panel of approval. The work He places in your heart is not for validation but for obedience. And here is the assurance:

God sustains what He authors. He empowers what He initiates. He provides for what He commands.

So, as you walk into today and through the weekend, pause for a moment. Ask yourself: What has God placed inside me that I have shelved out of fear of people? What step of faith have I delayed because I wanted validation first?

Then go further. Give yourself a title. Not the one society tags on you. Not the one shaped by applause or criticism. But the one that flows from your obedience to God’s call.

Because, at the end of it all, it will not be about who clapped or who doubted. It will be about whether you obeyed.
