“But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.” — Micah 7:7 (NASB)
The other day I overheard two of my friends, Kuttoh and Kevin Muraya—both bike enthusiasts—talking passionately about their bikes, including the one pictured above. You could actually tell how sold out they are in this endeavour. They talked about performance, they talked about speed, and how noisy their equipment gets when they are cruising through the estate. Their energy, focus, and commitment were contagious. Sold out completely, these ones, when it comes to their sport bikes. And it made me pause and ask myself—how can I be this sold out for Christ?
Three things came to my Heart.
LIVE FOR HIM FULLY
To live for Him fully means surrendering every part of your life—your desires, your time, your plans—to the One who gave you life in the first place. Living for Christ isn’t a Sunday-only affair or something we do when it’s convenient. It’s a daily pursuit, a deliberate choice to represent Him in all that we do. Just as a rider never rides halfway but gives his all to the road, so should we live wholeheartedly for God.
When you live for Him fully, your faith becomes your identity—not a hobby or a side interest, but the very essence of who you are.
FOCUS ON HIM ONLY
To focus on Him only means tuning your heart to His frequency. In a noisy world filled with distractions, God calls us to fix our eyes on Jesus—the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Bikers trust their bikes completely, their eyes fixed on the road ahead. In the same way, a believer who is sold out for Christ keeps their spiritual eyes fixed on the Lord, trusting Him to guide, protect, and sustain them. When we focus on Christ, our decisions, relationships, and ambitions align with His will. The noise of the world fades, and His voice becomes our compass.
NEVER SETTLE FOR LESS
To never settle for less means refusing to be content with lukewarm faith or half-hearted obedience. God calls us to pursue Him with passion and purpose. There is always a deeper place in prayer, a higher level of trust, a greater depth of worship waiting for us. Just as a biker keeps upgrading, pushing for better performance, we too must keep pressing on in our walk with God. Don’t settle for a shallow relationship when you can know Him more intimately. Don’t settle for comfort when He’s calling you to commitment.
A passionate Biker makes noise that everyone can hear, but a passion for Christ makes an impact that heaven celebrates. Micah said, “I will watch expectantly for the Lord.” That’s the heart of someone sold out—waiting, trusting, and living for God with undivided devotion.
May we be so passionate for Christ that our lives roar louder than any engine, not in noise, but in faith, love, and obedience.
