“For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed.” — Malachi 3:6 (ESV)

Pictured is a friend — a 2018 moment frozen in time, shaking hands with the who’s who of Kenya back then. A brother and a friend who has been consistent through the seasons — the same smile, the same humility, the same steady presence. And that’s exactly where I’d like to begin today — with consistency.

Because in a world that keeps changing, where faces fade and seasons shift, there’s One who never changes — God.

God is consistent. His nature is not swayed by circumstances or trends. The same God who parted the Red Sea for Moses still makes a way for you today. The same God who provided manna in the wilderness still provides your daily bread. The same God who healed the sick, raised the dead, and comforted the brokenhearted still does it now. You can rely on Him — not because He moves with the times, but because He stands above them.

God is reliable. When people promise and fail, when systems collapse, and when seasons of uncertainty arise, He remains your constant. He does not forget His promises. He does not change His mind about your destiny. You may go through the fire, but you won’t be consumed because He walks with you in it.

God does not take a break from being your Father.He does not grow tired of you.

God is faithful. Even when we waver, He remains steadfast. Paul reminded Timothy that “even if we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.” That means His faithfulness is not dependent on your perfection but rooted in His unchanging nature. Sometimes you may not see what He’s doing, but He’s still working. Sometimes you may not feel His presence, but He’s still near.

So today, pause and look back — not just at the picture of your past, but at the journey God has carried you through. The highs, the lows, the uncertain moments, and the breakthroughs. Through it all, one truth stands firm: God has been consistent, reliable, and faithful.

As you face today and what’s ahead, hold this assurance close — that the same God who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. He was there as you were born, He’s here in 2025, and He will still be God in every season to come.

When you think of the most consistent person you know, multiply that faithfulness a thousand times — that’s just a glimpse of who God is to you. Trust Him through the changing seasons, for His constancy anchors your life.
