“I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.” — Luke 10:19 (NIV)
Ever seen someone who walks in proper authority — whether delegated or earned? Especially those who seem full of it? They walk differently, speak with assurance, and carry an unspoken confidence that commands respect. You can almost sense they know who they are and what they carry. Now imagine if believers in Christ carried that same kind of awareness — not arrogance, but conviction — that we have been entrusted with divine authority.
The truth is, many of us live beneath our spiritual privileges because we forget who we are in Him.
When Jesus gave His disciples authority, it wasn’t limited to casting out demons or healing the sick; it was a full representation of heaven’s mandate on earth. We are ambassadors of the Kingdom — carriers of power, grace, and spiritual jurisdiction. Yet, too often, we operate like victims of circumstance instead of victors through Christ. The devil thrives on deception — making believers doubt their power, second-guess their worth, and settle for defeat. But authority is not about shouting louder or performing more; it’s about knowing your position in Christ and standing firm in it.
Our authority in Christ is rooted in relationship, not performance. You don’t earn it — you receive it. Just like a police officer’s badge represents the backing of the entire government, our faith represents heaven’s endorsement. When we speak the Word of God with faith, we are not speaking as mere humans — we are enforcing divine truth over situations, fear, sickness, and strongholds. But for that authority to be effective, we must stay connected to its Source. A disconnected believer is like a lamp unplugged — designed to shine but without power.
So today, walk tall. Not in pride, but in purpose.
When you pray, speak, or step into spaces, remember — you carry Christ’s authority. You are not ordinary. You have power over fear, sin, and every scheme of the enemy. Don’t shrink back. Declare God’s Word boldly. Live like one who knows heaven backs them up.
Because indeed, in Christ, you have authority.

Amen
May God use me to spread His word without fear His grace be sufficient
