CONSTANT

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 (ESV)

A few years ago, I lost touch with an old friend — someone I had served with closely. Life moved on, distances widened, and conversations faded into silence. One day, out of the blue, they reached out. Their message was short: “Kim, I didn’t think you’d still want to hear from me.”

I smiled. Not because of what they said, but because I could relate. Many of us, at some point, feel like that toward God. We drift — sometimes slowly, other times suddenly — and convince ourselves we’ve gone too far to find our way back. Yet, the beauty of God’s love is that He never stops waiting.

God’s love is not seasonal. It doesn’t waver with your emotions, your failures, or how long you’ve been “away.” His love is not based on performance but anchored in His very nature — He is love.

You may have wandered off course, broken promises, or even believed lies spoken about you. But the truth remains: God’s love has not changed. Like the father of the prodigal son, He still stands at the gate, scanning the horizon, waiting for your return — not to question you, but to embrace you.

Maybe this is your moment to pause and remember — He still cares, still calls, and still covers.

No matter how far you think you’ve gone, He’s closer than you imagine.
