HEAVEN IS COUNTING

“My God sent His angel, and He shut the mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in His sight…”Daniel 6:22

Heaven is Counting – This is a Statement I borrow from a Sermon I listened to, yesterday, one of those very heavy weeks, totally drained and so you opt for multiple online services, back to back, almost the whole day, Sunday. It was one of those Sundays where you are not looking for variety, you are looking for strength. My week had stretched me, and I needed something to steady me.

So Rev Nick Korir was winding up on a series, and what really caught me was, they had been on a Safari round the African Continent — thousands of Kms in 2025, and on Motorbike, on a Goodwill campaign and there times they would get completely lost in the deserts, but still moved on n on, till they finished, but even at those points that they got lost, one thing never stopped counting, one thing never stopped growing and that is the Odometer reading on their bikes, it always, keyed in every kilometer, they rode.

As he spoke, I could picture it clearly. Long dusty roads. Unfamiliar terrain. Moments of uncertainty. Seasons of feeling directionless. Yet regardless of how they felt, regardless of whether they were perfectly aligned or slightly off course, the odometer kept registering every single kilometer. It did not pause because they were confused. It did not reduce the mileage because they had taken a wrong turn. It simply recorded movement.

And that is when it struck me deeply. Even when they were lost, they were still moving. Even when they were unsure, progress was still being marked. Even when the road was not clear, the distance covered was being counted.

At some point, I also listened to Rev Carol Kiarie, the Cathedral Gen Z Rev, from The Thika ACK Cathedral, and she emphasized that we definitely need to have all our hopes up, because, THERE IS MORE!!. More to look out to, more to look forward to, more to hope for, more to trust God in. Her voice echoed that truth that our current experience is not the full picture. There is more beyond what we see, more beyond what we feel, and more beyond what this present season suggests.

So Rev Nick said, Heaven is Counting, because it always counts what counts. That statement has stayed with me. Heaven is not distracted by noise. Heaven is not swayed by public opinion. Heaven is not impressed by applause. Heaven counts what truly matters.

Heaven counts obedience when no one is clapping. Heaven counts integrity when compromise would have been easier. Heaven counts faithfulness in small assignments. Heaven counts the quiet prayers whispered in tired moments. Heaven counts the tears you wipe before stepping into responsibility again.

You may be at a point in life that you feel so discouraged or even very motivated, depends on what season you are in, but my charge for you this week is, Heaven is counting. Whether you feel like you are advancing rapidly or barely crawling forward, Heaven is counting. Whether you are celebrated publicly or fighting private battles silently, Heaven is counting.

Whatever good you do, keep doing, Heaven is counting. Keep serving. Keep loving. Keep showing up. Keep choosing right when wrong seems faster. None of it is wasted. None of it is unnoticed.

Whatever struggle you may be in, keep at it, The Lord, The Maker of Heaven and Earth, has you on His Mind, Keep Trusting, a breakthrough will come your way, it may be taking alot of time, but trust me, it will come! Sometimes breakthroughs take longer because they are being prepared thoroughly. Sometimes they delay because God is strengthening your capacity to sustain what you have prayed for. Delay does not mean denial, and silence does not mean absence.

That Den of lions, they have you in, will not destroy you! When Daniel was lowered into that den, it appeared final. The decree had been signed. The stone had been rolled in place. The night was long and filled with threat. Yet Heaven had been counting Daniel’s faithfulness long before that crisis. Every time he prayed. Every time he refused to bow. Every time he chose conviction over convenience. Heaven had been recording it all.

God shall preserve you even in spaces, where everything seems to be working against you. In rooms where your name is misunderstood. In systems that seem unfair. In seasons that feel restrictive. Preservation is not accidental; it is intentional. God is fully capable of sustaining you in hostile environments.

One thing I like about God, is that He is Capable and has the Capacity to pull us through it and from it. He does not only sustain you inside the den; He brings you out of it. He does not only silence the lions; He turns the situation into testimony. He has the authority to override outcomes and the power to shift narratives.

This week, think about the God of Daniel, He who can do, the Impossible, He who never lets you down and allows only what we can handle. Think about the God who sends angels into dark places. Think about the God who counts faithfulness over fame. Think about the God who tracks every kilometer of obedience, even when you feel off course.

Heaven is Counting. And because Heaven is Counting, your consistency matters. Your endurance matters. Your faith matters. Keep moving. Keep trusting. Keep believing. None of it is lost, and none of it is forgotten.
