GOD IS THE ONLY OPTION

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20

The Lord is indeed worthy—worthy to be Praised, Worshiped, and Glorified. Not only because of what He has done, but because of who He is—Sovereign, Unchanging, and All-powerful.

Scripture reminds us in Psalm 145:3, “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.” Our praise, therefore, is not conditional—it is anchored in His nature.

Yet, as we walk through life, it is easy to lose awareness of the power of God. We often approach Him as an alternative—something we turn to when everything else has failed. But God was never meant to be our backup plan.

God is not an option among many.
He is the first option.
He is the only option.
He is the Best option.

In Matthew 6:33, Jesus instructs us clearly: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” The order matters. When God becomes secondary, everything else falls out of alignment. Talking of Alignment, I used to own this car, a Toyota Corolla 1991, and every time I don’t know why it kept losing alignment and it would just want to steer me off the road at times. I remember one time I was coming from a facility I was running in Juja and it kept going wanting to veer off, one time actually, ilitoka mguu moja, am like, that tyre infront of the car, looks like mine, yes I stopped pole pole in Ruiru Flyover and the Thika road highway response team came in so promptly and helped me. It also had another problem. When it went over a bump, ilikuwa inazima. Heeeee, let me tell you, mambo ni mengi. Gari iki ruka bump inazima kwa nini sasa? Back to the Only Option

To live victoriously, we must come to a place of total dependence on Him—a place where His power is not just acknowledged, but relied upon. A place where we stop negotiating between God and other solutions, and fully surrender to His will.

A powerful illustration of this truth is found in the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3.

Faced with a fiery furnace for refusing to bow to an idol, they did not consider alternatives. They did not compromise. They did not panic. Instead, they declared in Daniel 3:17–18:

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it… But even if He does not, we want you to know… we will not serve your gods.”

This is what it means for God to be the only option.
Not just trusting Him for deliverance—but choosing Him even when the outcome is uncertain.

And what happened? God showed up.
The fire did not consume them.
The presence of God was revealed in the midst of the flames.

When God is your only option, His power becomes undeniable.

The Word assures us again in Ephesians 3:20:
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”

This is the God we serve—able, mighty, and exalted above all.

So today, I charge you:

Let God be your motivation.
Let His name be your confidence.
Let His presence be your foundation.

Do not place your hope in temporary things. Do not anchor your faith in systems that can fail.

Instead, stand firm in the Lord God Almighty, knowing that in Him you have victory, in Him you have joy, and in Him you have everything you need.

As declared in Exodus 3:14, He is “I AM WHO I AM”—the self-sufficient, all-sufficient God.

Lift Him high. Honor Him. Trust Him fully.
Indeed, He is a mighty God.
Indeed, He is exalted.
Indeed, He is worthy.

Go forth, knowing that God is able—He is your first, your only, and your greatest option. Praise Him, and trust Him, for indeed, He is worthy
