“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18
We all put facades in our faces…. fake smiles….but one thing about the photo today..it’s that it’s the most ORIGINAL food spice I know. They have never changed or renovated… just staying original.
Suggesting, even showing, that all is okay. Yet truthfully, people are going through a lot. Waaah… A lot.
Just after the Evening Fellowship, a friend shared what she’s going through—and my heart felt heavy and burdened.Na hakuna kitu mbaya kama kuambiwa kitu huwezi saidia.
- A story that’s so painful, you feel powerless.
- A weight you cannot lift.
- A storm you cannot still.
We are showing up strong, and yet—deep in our hearts—we are absolutely bleeding. And my heart goes out to those who have to wear a smile, show up to work, attend church, serve others, be parents, friends, and caregivers… while inside they’re fighting invisible battles.
- Silent wars.
- Exhausting nights.
- Tears cried in pillows.
- Pain masked by perfume and polite greetings.
But here’s the comfort:
📖The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.”
- Not distant.
- Not silent.
- Not disappointed in your weakness.
He is near.
Near to those with silent cries. Near to those who feel unseen and unheard. Near to those who show up even when their world is falling apart.
Beloved, it’s okay to not be okay.
It’s okay to admit that the weight is heavy.
It’s okay to come undone before a God who binds wounds and bottles tears (Psalm 56:8).
If today your heart is tired… If your soul is bleeding…If your smile is just a cover…Please know: God sees you. God knows. God cares.
Don’t walk this road alone.Allow trusted hearts to walk with you.Let your vulnerability be a bridge, not a wall. And more than anything, rest in the promise that “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds”

A popular secular artist recently described this as going through situations which only God believes.
Great message. Be blessed 🙌
