STAMINA STABLE…

“Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” Ps 112: 6 – 7

We all have moments that test our internal strength—accidents, losses, rejections, or abrupt changes in life. I remember one such moment over 12 years ago. I had just reported to a new work station in Ndarugo. Young, eager, and trying to find my footing in life. A borrowed car. A sudden accident. And with it, a thousand questions raced through my mind:

  • How do I explain this?
  • How will they react?
  • What does this say about me?

But then came the voice of grace—my mother. Her words, “So long as you are fine… the car isn’t something to worry about. I have a Stamina Stable,” have echoed in my heart ever since. Two simple words that rarely go together, but they captured a powerful truth: Inner peace and strength do not have to be dictated by external chaos.

What Does It Mean to Have a Stamina Stable?

1. It means you draw strength from within, not from what’s around you. Not from perfect circumstances, or calm days, but from a deep, anchored place in God. That kind of stamina doesn’t come from the gym—it comes from the prayer room, from nights of tears, and from days where you chose to trust even when it didn’t make sense.

2. It means you’re not shaken easily.

  • What shakes your foundations?
  • What rocks your core?

Life will test your balance. But when your stability is rooted in Christ, your world might tremble, but you won’t fall apart.

Psalm 16:8 says, “I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”

3. It means you can hear bad news… and still sleep at night. The righteous “have no fear of bad news.” That’s not denial—that’s discipline. A trained heart. A decided faith. A stamina that’s stable.
