“We must pay the most careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.” Hebrews 2:1 (NIV)
Mbona unarisk?
That’s the real question today.
Why do you take things of God so casually?
Why do you leave so easily —
From fellowship,
From prayer,
From the calling that once made your heart burn?
Why is it that God has to beg for your attention…
While the world gets your best energy, your best time, your full heart?
The Bible says,
“We must pay the most careful attention…” Why? Because the drift is real.
And drifting is dangerous — You don’t notice it immediately. You still look saved.
You still say “Amen.” You still serve. But slowly… you’re no longer anchored.
And yet, God still calls your name. Even in your inconsistency. Even in your tiredness. Even in your divided heart.
Mbona unarisk?
Why are you gambling with grace?
Why are you walking so casually on a narrow path?
Have you forgotten that this is war? That souls are on the line? That your walk affects others too?
You say you’re a believer — but if you’re honest:
- You don’t pray unless things are falling apart.
- You don’t serve unless someone’s watching.
- You don’t give unless it’s convenient.
- You don’t grow unless pushed.
Waaah!
Where is your fire?
Where did your seriousness go?
And if you’re not a believer —
Waaah! Sasa hiyo ndiyo risk ya ajabu kabisa.
Unangoja nini? You’re playing with forever. You’re postponing peace.
You’re delaying destiny. The gospel is simple as ABCD:
- Admit you’re a sinner.
- Believe in Jesus Christ.
- Confess with your mouth.
- Decide to follow Him.
Just make the decision. Stop walking the fence. Stop testing both waters. Stop postponing your surrender.
And to the believer who’s grown cold: Today is your wake-up call.
It’s time to return — To prayer. To discipline. To obedience. To awe. To the fear of the Lord.
If you were to stand before God today…
Would He find you serious?
Would He find you ready?
Would He find you faithful?

Help me Lord to wake up from my slumber.
