“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”
Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)
He who promised is Faithful.
Ever trusted someone a.k.a. kuangushwa proper… I mean proper kabisaaaa? You gave them your heart, your secrets, your time—ukaweka hopes zako hapo! And then BOOM! They vanished. Changed their mind. Ghosted. Lied. Took advantage. You’re left holding broken expectations and wondering how you got played like that. Whueeeh… binadamu!!!!mayoree… wacha tu!
He who promised is Faithful.
God is not like that friend who said “I got you” only to go silent when you needed help. He doesn’t forget. He doesn’t get tired of you. He doesn’t use you and discard you. What He says—He does. Full stop. If He promised to walk with you through fire, He will. If He promised restoration, peace, healing, or joy—you better believe it’s on the way.
He who promised is Faithful.
Maybe you’ve been waiting… like Sarah waited, or Joseph in prison, or David running for years from Saul. You’ve received a promise from God, but life looks the total opposite. You start asking: “Did I hear right?” “Maybe I imagined it?” “Why is this taking so long?” But listen… delays don’t mean denial.
In God’s calendar, nothing is late. He is Faithful, even when we’re faithless.
He who promised is Faithful.
That job He whispered about? That breakthrough? That healing? That open door? That spouse? That ministry? That purpose? That child? That season of rest? It’s not just a hopeful dream. It’s anchored in the character of a God who cannot lie. Mungu si binadamu.
He who promised is Faithful.
So hold on—not with shaking hands, but with a firm grip. Don’t let go. Don’t entertain the lies.
Speak back to the doubt: “My God is Faithful.” Speak to the dry bank account, to the hospital report, to the tear-stained pillow, to the lonely heart: “My God is Faithful.”
He who promised is Faithful.
Today, even in your uncertainty, lift your hands and say, “Lord, I still believe.”
The promise still stands—because the One who made it still reigns.
Hold on to that hope. Because He who promised… is FAITHFUL.
