“O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?”
— 1 Corinthians 15:55 (KJV)
I decide to honor the Life of a Young man that we had Memorial for, last evening – BRIAN MAINA MUCHOKI
Today, we remember and honor a young soul, Brian — only 23 years old, full of life, kindness, and warmth. For the past three months, he was in Nyahururu, and in that time, he left an imprint of joy and friendship on all who met him. He was a delightful presence, one who shone with quiet strength and a heart for others.
When his mother spoke during the Memorial, her words painted a beautiful picture of deep love and connection — a bond not easily put into words. He wasn’t just a son; he was her friend. Her tribute was filled with pain, yes, but also with pride — pride in the man he was, and in the love they shared.
Yaani, you came to Rest……..
On the day he passed, Brian had come to do something simple yet telling of his character — he was accompanying a friend to the airport. It was just like him to show up for others. That’s the kind of love we’re called to — love that is present, love that serves, love that remains. Though you mentioned to Pastor Kevin, your friend, umeota umeenda majuu
In this time of mourning, we take comfort in the words of Scripture:
“O death, where is your sting? O grave, where is your victory?”
— 1 Corinthians 15:55 (KJV)
Because of Christ, death does not have the final say. Though our hearts ache, we do not grieve as those without hope. Brian now rests in the presence of the One who conquered the grave.
Let us remember his life, honor his memory, and hold on to the hope that we will meet again — where there are no goodbyes, no pain, and no more parting.
May God comfort all who knew and loved Brian, and may we continue to live in the light he left behind.
