“It is finished.”
— John 19:30 (KJV)
On the cross, with His final breath, Jesus declared, “It is finished.” Not “I am finished,” but “It”—the work, the mission, the price.
This wasn’t a cry of defeat. It was a shout of victory. In Greek, the word is Tetelestai—a legal term meaning “Paid in full.”
The debt of sin that separated us from God? Paid.
The curse of death? Broken.
The power of shame? Defeated.
Jesus didn’t leave anything undone. Every prophecy was fulfilled, every drop of wrath satisfied, every door to mercy flung wide open. He finished the work so you don’t have to earn grace—you simply receive it.
So when life feels like it’s falling apart, remember: the most important thing—the battle for your soul—is already won. It is finished. And because of that, your new beginning can start today.

Halleluyah to the King of kings!
