There’s a well-known church that runs what they call The Lord’s Store. It’s not a supermarket or a flashy brand, but a practical ministry. People bring foodstuffs, clothing, and household items, and the church gives freely to the needy—widows, single mothers, struggling families, and students. It’s a powerful expression of what the early church looked like in Acts 2:44–45, where believers shared what they had, and no one among them was in need.
Such acts are inspiring. They show what happens when people trust that God will supply enough—not just for themselves but to share. But beyond those efforts, here’s a personal question:
Do you truly believe that God is able to supply your needs?
Needs differ. For one, it’s rent. For another, school fees. Yet for someone else, peace in the middle of a storm. We often say “God will provide,” but do we trust His timing and method of provision?
The Lord’s storehouse isn’t limited to shelves and boxes. It’s divine. It doesn’t run out. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). Yet sometimes, He provides through waiting. Sometimes through others. Sometimes through a no that redirects you to His better yes.
Paul wrote Philippians 4:19 after thanking the church for their generosity. They gave out of what little they had, and he reassured them: God sees. God knows. God repays. Not always with what we want, but always with what we need.
So today, don’t just admire the Lord’s Store in others. Live like you believe in it. Share when you can. Ask boldly when in need. And wait with confidence—your Sovereign King never sleeps on your needs. They’re already in His inventory. He’s just waiting for the right time to deliver.
