Matthew 6:33 (NIV)“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”—
We live in a world obsessed with the chase
- The chase for the bag.
- The chase for status.
- The chase for settlement.
- The chase for a better future.
There’s nothing wrong with ambition — even Scripture says a man who doesn’t work shouldn’t eat. But Jesus draws a line in the sand: “Seek FIRST the Kingdom.” Not second, not when it’s convenient, not when the hustle fails — first.
Because when the chase becomes everything, you start losing parts of yourself. You get tired. Bitter. Salty.Frustration becomes a roommate in your soul, and gratitude moves out.
You stop celebrating the little wins. You’re so spicy no one wants to share in your journey — not even you.And slowly, you forget why you were chasing in the first place.
But God is not anti-hustle. He’s anti-idolatry.He knows what you need — peace, provision, purpose — but He wants to be your Source, not just your safety net.
So today, pause.Drop the weight of the chase for just a moment. And look up.Are you chasing the Kingdom, or just chasing your next fix of progress?
Because here’s the promise:If you chase the Kingdom, everything else will chase you.

If you chase the kingdom, everything else will chase you.
Words to live by.
Thank you
This is gold. God is not anti hustle, he is anti-idolatry.
