WE REGRET

“For the Lord will not reject his people; he will never forsake his inheritance.” — Psalm 94:14 (NIV)

I shared this story in our House Fellowship jana, and I feel the need to bring to this online space as well. There was a time I used to apply for more than 20 jobs — both online and physical — as they seemed fit. This was before I decided to walk the Entrepreneurial Path. Back then, I would apply for any opening that came my way, but over time, I learned to only go for the ones where I was confident and fully aware of all the qualifications.

Let me tell you, Maina, as they would say, I got so many replies on email that started with the same familiar words: “We regret to inform you…” They came in such large numbers that at some point, I began to feel like hata mimi nina -regret applying there in the first place!

But here’s the thing — even though they rejected me, I discovered something greater: I already had God’s approval. And that’s all I needed, and that’s all that counts. Hallelujah!

You see, human rejection doesn’t define divine direction. Sometimes, the doors that close before us are God’s way of steering us toward our assignment.

Rejection is not the end; often, it is redirection. While those emails said, “We regret,” heaven was saying, “We affirm.” Every “no” from man can be a “yes” from God in disguise. He knows what lies ahead — the opportunities that match your purpose, the spaces that align with your growth, and the seasons where His favor will speak louder than any human approval.

So, if you’ve faced rejection lately — whether from jobs, people, or opportunities — don’t let it define your worth. Let it refine your walk with God. His plans for you are never cancelled by man’s opinion.

Remember, God’s acceptance outweighs man’s rejection.

Today, stand tall knowing that while men may say, “We regret to inform you,” your Heavenly Father says, “I have called you by name; you are Mine.”
