Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” — Mark 6:31
There is something beautiful about stillness — that sacred hush when the world seems to pause. Just like the way, I fancy those late-night walks through the supermarket aisles between 12am and 2am; it’s peaceful, unhurried, and somehow feels like a reset. Even the lights seem gentler, and the service, more intentional.
Rest is not laziness — it’s a divine rhythm. Jesus Himself often withdrew to solitary places to pray and rest. When we pause, we allow our hearts to breathe and our minds to realign.
The truth is, life can weigh heavily — from leadership roles to family responsibilities, or the endless stretch of entrepreneurship. Yet, rest reminds us that we are human, not machines; vessels that need refilling.
So, as Morning Shots takes a short break. Make it a Habit of Stepping aside from the noise, and allow yourself to recharge, and let God’s quiet voice whisper peace into our spirit man
