IMPOSSIBLE

When the trumpets sounded, the army shouted, and at the sound of the trumpet, when the men gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed; so everyone charged straight in, and they took the city. Joshua 6:20

God knows no Impossibility, I have heard others including myself saying, if there is a Vocabulary that God does not know is Impossible. Let me take you back – 366 days ago, on the 3rd Dec 2024, an year ago, I put my faith at work, serious work, and told God, his words in James, that Faith without action is dead.

Faith is well defined in Heb 11: 1, but back to the Wall of Jericho, that Wall that seemed IMPOSSIBLE to penetrate, God made a way, even where there was no way. The Walls fell, in as much as in human eyes it was pretty impossible.

And when you sit with that story slowly, you start to realize that God never asked Israel to understand the impossibility, He simply asked them to trust the instruction.

Sometimes God doesn’t give you the details of how the wall will fall, He only gives you the next step, and that next step looks foolish, or small, or too quiet for the size of the battle in front of you.

You may be there wondering how walking around a wall actually solves anything, yet in the realm of faith, obedience is louder than logic, because God is not limited to what makes sense to us. And it’s strange how impossibility has a way of exposing what you really believe, because anyone can confess faith when the path is clear, but it is in the days you march around something that refuses to move that you truly understand the weight of James saying Faith without action is dead, because sometimes action is not the big dramatic thing, sometimes action is just what we were saying yesterday showing up again, walking again, praying again, circling that situation one more time, even when nothing is shifting.

Hear this Child of God, The same God who watched Israel circle Jericho is the same God watching you put one foot in front of the other, even when the progress looks invisible, and He is not intimidated by the size, the height, or the thickness of what stands before you, because impossibility is not even a category in His vocabulary. (Had to use that statement). Sikiliza poa, you do your part, not perfectly, not confidently sometimes, but faithfully, and God does His part in ways you don’t see coming.

And the thing about Jericho is that the walls did not fall because Israel pushed them, they fell because God responded to obedience, and that’s where many of us get stuck, thinking that your effort must equal the outcome, but there is a realm where your obedience is the seed and God is the one who causes the breakthrough. So even when you feel like what you’re praying for is taking too long, or what you’re believing for seems too far out of reach, or what you’re circling looks the same day after day, remember that faith was never meant to be passive, it was meant to be active, it was meant to be a steady, persistent, quiet insistence that if God said it, something is already shifting behind the scenes, even if your eyes can’t see it yet.

And maybe that’s the reminder you need today,!!!

That the God of Jericho has not changed, that the walls you are facing are not stronger than His word, and that the impossibility you’re staring at is just another stage for Him to reveal His faithfulness.

Keep holding God to His word, keep refusing to shrink back just because the wall looks stubborn, because the same way those walls came down with no human hand touching them is the same way God is capable of collapsing every barrier that dares to stand before the destiny He already spoke over your life.
