NO LONGER FORSAKEN

“You shall no longer be termed Forsaken, nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate; but you shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah; for the LORD delights in you…” Isaiah 62:4

This week, Dear Readers will be the last week, of Morning Shots and we take a very long Christmas Break.,, I sincerely appreciate the time that you take to read and even comment every other day. I know some Readers are so consistent in that endeavor. Please feel very Valued and Appreciated.

I will intentionally pick Scriptures in Isaiah this week to fuel us up, as we gear up for the Holidays. That said, I remember a time, a while back, could be close to 8 years ago, I was running a Guest House, and things were warming up quite well, I must say, but like they say, figures don’t lie and My Board felt we were still under perfoming and so, they changed structured of our Salaried pay to a Meagre Retainer + Commission – Maahn, I felt Forsaken, I felt desolate and those who know me, know when I Love, I love completely. when am Invested, I Invest completely. Sitaki kusema and Vice Versa, nisiingie mtego wa Dhambi.

But any way, I left that property and went for Greener Pastures and Yes it was Green completely and the Desolate and Forsaken feelings faded away as I settled in the Newer Malishoni, I hear this strongly in my Heart. You are No Longer Forsaken, You are no Longer Desolate, It does not matter how 2025 has been for you, As the Year ends may the Lord find delight in you, may all those who look down upon you, see the Lord that you have been serving and waiting upon is a Faithful God

And this is the part I want you to hold onto as we close the year, because sometimes the labels we have carried quietly in our hearts are heavier than the seasons themselves.

You can move through a whole year functioning well, showing up faithfully, doing your best in every space, but inside you still feel the sting of moments where you felt dropped, unseen, or undervalued. Forsaken is not always a loud experience, many times it is a silent internal conversation that sits between you and your thoughts. And yet here comes God with a statement that cuts through all of that, reminding you that whatever that season called you, it is not your name.

There are places you invested your whole heart and still came out feeling empty. There are assignments you gave your full strength and still felt overlooked. There are relationships, jobs, attempts, prayers, and seasons where you poured yourself completely and still walked away wondering why it had to be that hard. But when God says you are no longer Forsaken, He is not addressing the circumstance, He is addressing the identity that tried to settle in your spirit. He is separating who you are from what you went through.

As this Scripture speaks, let it settle the same way it settled for Israel. It was not a suggestion. It was a declaration. It was God redefining their story. It was God putting an end to names that came from pain, and beginning new names that came from His delight. And that is the same shift happening for you. You may have carried moments of desolation, dryness, disappointment, or delay this year, but that is not your identity. You may have walked through tight places, but you are not abandoned. You may have endured difficult transitions, but you are not forgotten.

You may have had days where you questioned your worth, but God never questioned His commitment to you.

And now, as the curtain of the year starts to lower, may this word escort you into the new season with clarity. God delights in you. That is not dependent on performance. That is not tied to who supported you and who didn’t. That is not defined by who recognized your value or who ignored it. His delight is stable. His delight is constant. His delight is enough to rewrite your Entire existence.

So may those who looked down upon you see God’s faithfulness without needing explanations. May they see how He has preserved you. May they see how He lifts you. May they see how He answers prayers you whispered privately. May they witness the quiet strength God has been building in you. Not for comparison, but for testimony. That the Lord you have been serving, waiting upon, trusting through the highs and lows, is indeed a Faithful God.

Walk into the close of this year knowing that your name has changed. Forsaken is not your story. Desolate is not your chapter. You carry the delight of God. You carry His covering. You carry His attention. And as long as that is true, everything ahead of you is already shifting in your favor.
