IT MUST HAVE BEEN YOU

Romans 8:28 (NIV)“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

There are moments in life when things fall into place so perfectly that we’re left in awe. A door opens at the last minute, a solution appears just when we’re out of options, or help comes from the most unexpected place. In those moments, we pause and whisper—“It must have been God.”

A young man had delayed in applying for his attachment. Most programs had already started, and positions were long filled. But with faith in his Mentor, he reached out. The Mentor, sensing the urgency, made a quick call to a Reknown Industry Professional. That one call turned things around—within days, the lad was reporting to a reputable Media House.

Overwhelmed with joy, he told his Mentor, “It must have been you!” But deep down, they both knew—it must have been God.

On another, very recent occasion, a friend was set to be deployed to a remote location—Kanyonyo in Ukambani. It was far and unfamiliar. But again, because “we know people,” or so it seemed, he was retained in Juja, a much more favorable and accessible place especially that he had already secured a house, just a walking distance from The Juja Work Station. Everyone celebrated, but we couldn’t help but acknowledge—it must have been God.

We often worry that we’re too late, underqualified, or forgotten. But God is never late. His timing is perfect. Even when things seem out of control, God is still weaving His purpose into our story.

This season, may you experience moments that leave no doubt in your heart. Not luck. Not connections. Just grace. May you find yourself saying, with wonder and gratitude, “It must have been God.”
