AFTER ALL THESE THINGS

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: ‘Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.’” Gen 15:1

After all these things.
That’s how the chapter begins. It’s almost like God wanted to draw a line — to say, “That was then… but now, I’m doing something new.” Abram had gone through years of uncertainty. He had left his homeland without knowing exactly where God was taking him. He had endured famine, disputes over land, and battles to rescue his nephew Lot. He had promises… but not yet the reality.

And then… God stepped in.
After all these things, the Word of the Lord came. Not before the battles. Not in the middle of the famine. But after — when the dust had settled, when the waiting had stretched long enough for human hope to almost fade.

Friend, maybe you’ve been in a long season. You’ve had to trust God without seeing much change. You’ve fought battles in your family, in your finances, or even in your faith. But here’s the encouragement:

God still has an after all these things season for you. It’s the moment when His voice breaks the silence and His hand settles the matter.

And what does He say first? “Do not be afraid… I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” Before the blessing comes, He reminds you that He Himself is your greatest treasure.

Your “after all these things” is coming — hold on. God knows exactly when to turn the page. Friend and Child of God Hold on
