We are hosting AFCON soon, and the requirement is clear—our stadiums must hold 60,000 seats to qualify. That means renovation, expansion, and preparation. Picture this: it’s 6:30am at Kenol, traffic is already at a standstill, and yet the game isn’t until 6:30pm in Kasarani. 🤣🤣🤣
That’s what happens when a place grows bigger than its capacity—everything around it must also adjust.
In many ways, that’s how God deals with us. When He is about to release something greater into our lives, the real question becomes: Can we contain it? Can our spiritual, emotional, and mental “stadiums” hold the weight of what He wants to pour out?
God calls us to increase our boundaries. Not only the physical ones, but also the boundaries of faith, of obedience, of vision.
Sometimes we pray for breakthrough, yet our “seating capacity” is stuck at 20,000 while God desires to bring in 60,000.
For Him to entrust us with more, we must be willing to stretch.
This requires:
A Change of Attitude.
Just as a stadium must shift from small thinking to hosting nations, so must we. Complaining, fear, and doubt are seats we cannot afford to reserve. Instead, fill your heart with expectancy and gratitude.
A Change of Perspective.
What looks like inconvenience—road closures, traffic jams, construction delays—are actually signs of expansion. Spiritually, the “delays” and “detours” in your life may be God’s way of creating room for the bigger stage He’s preparing you for.
A Willingness to Stretch.
Stretching is never comfortable. Ask any athlete. But without it, muscles tear. In faith, stretching means forgiving deeper, giving more generously, praying longer, and trusting God beyond what makes sense.
Beloved, God is preparing you for something greater. Don’t be surprised if He starts rearranging your routines, challenging your comfort zones, and enlarging your borders. What may feel like disruption is really construction. What may seem like a closed road is simply God redirecting you to a wider path.
It’s not punishment—it’s preparation.
He is enlarging your life so you can carry the fullness of His blessing, just as a stadium must be expanded to host nations.
