BECAUSE JESUS

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57

Because Jesus — this two words may not be grammatically correct placed together, but tell you what, haaa the actual truth is that as they are placed together, it changes everything. I know quite a number of us are going through a lot, but this morning, allow me to just use this two words to encourage you: BECAUSE JESUS.

Because Jesus, we are not defined by our past. The shame, the guilt, the regrets that once chained us no longer hold authority. When the enemy whispers “you are finished,” heaven shouts back, “It is finished!” on the cross.

Because Jesus, the battles we face are not the end of our story. Storms may rise, disappointments may hit, people may walk away, but we are never abandoned.

He stands in the fire with us, He sits in the boat with us, and He leads us through the valley with His rod and staff.

Because Jesus, sickness does not have the final word. The doctor’s report may sound grim, but the stripes on His back declare healing, restoration, and strength. Even when the body feels weak, His power is made perfect in our weakness.

Because Jesus, provision is assured. When resources run dry and doors seem closed, He remains Jehovah Jireh — the Lord who provides. He multiplied five loaves and two fish; surely He can multiply what looks small in your hands today.

Because Jesus, sin lost its sting. Death lost its power. The grave lost its victory. He rose, and in His rising, we rise too — not as victims of life’s chaos, but as victors seated with Him in heavenly places.

Because Jesus, joy is not dependent on circumstances. It flows from a source deeper than emotions, anchored in a Savior who never changes. Even in tears, even in confusion, there is a peace that surpasses understanding.

Because Jesus, tomorrow is not something to fear. The future may look uncertain to us, but it is already secured in His hands. He holds time, seasons, and destinies. Nothing catches Him off guard.

Because Jesus, we can stand today with courage. We can face giants. We can dream again. We can love again. We can forgive again. We can rise again.

Because Jesus, you are not done yet. Your story is still unfolding, your purpose still alive, your hope still burning. The same power that raised Him from the grave is alive in you right now.

So lift your head. Square your shoulders. Dry your tears. And let this truth thunder in your spirit: Because Jesus, everything changes.
